A micropub run by Dan Steggles of Hoxne Brewery, located at Diss railway station, in the station’s former taxi office.
The aim is to be a place where people in transit, instead of coming ten minutes before, come an hour before and have a drink.
The thing about micro pubs is there are no gaming machines, no snooker tables, no intrusive music.
It’s all about the art of conversation. Chances are, two strangers will be sat at the same table. They might actually have a conversation. That’s what the pub aims to encourage.
The name comes from a previous pub that was located in the station’s car park until 1973.
Bottled beers are also sold from local breweries and more exotic places. The bar also has a mini-keg wall with changing beers.
