This Pub is Permanently Closed
The Jolly Gardeners was a street corner local that traded from 1854 to 1976. Research has established that the pub was part of the tied estate of Gravesend brewers Walker & Son Ltd in its early days. Ownership would have passed to Charrington's when the latter firm gained control of Walkers in 1904.
After closure, the pub was demolished along with most of the surrounding area and the site is now part of a housing estate.
