Quirky but traditional pub serving two or three guest ales. Interesting front bar tap room preserved in original condition for 50 plus years. Three rooms of varying size, from a small snug to a large main bar. Level access to the building, but there is one step down to the toilet area. Real open fires. Although a central serving area, the pub is split into both large & small drinking and dining areas. The pub was formerly the Kings Head, not to be confused with the neighbouring, but now closed Kings Arms. Sky sports available in the tap room, leaving the lounge area free for conversation. Three changing guest ales including seasonal specials. The garden includes a grassed area with bench tables that doubles as a children's play area. Under new management from 13th May 2022. Quiz night is Tuesday.
