The Inn at Shipley is in an original Georgian building which dates from 1771. The inn embodies everything that a decent country pub should have – open fires, oak beams, and a warm welcome. An extensive food menu is served all day and booking is essential at weekends. The house-beers from Brunning & Price are brewed by Brightside Brewery of Greater Manchester.
Historic Interest
Formerly the Thornescroft Restaurant, it was acquired by Brunning & Price in 2013. The name was then changed the Inn at Shipley. The house has lost most of its original windows and external doors but despite this loss, it is substantially as designed in 1771. It retains its original floor plan, largely intact at ground floor level and complete at both first and second floor level. It also has a high proportion of its original doors and fittings. The building is, therefore, of high significance and is listed grade II.
This Pub serves 3 changing beers and 1 regular beer.
