Large open plan pub, opposite the junction with Pearson Avenue.

Planning Permission granted for demolition on 10/03/22 by Broxtowe Borough Council, reference 22/00044/REG3, despite objections.

Historic Interest

The Inham Nook has an entry on Nottinghamshire County Council's Historic Environment Record (HER) No. MNT 27728. Formerly a Shipstone's house, the Inham Nook is a post war estate pub. Beeston and Stapleford Urban District Council acquired the area west of Bramcote Lane by compulsory purchase in 1947. Two areas of development were planned: Inham Nook, with 1,066 dwellings, and the Field Lane estate of 500 houses. A scheme was drawn up for developing Inham Road, which follows the route of the original access lane to Sunnyside Farm. This included the section as far as Wentworth Road, but originally left the farm intact. House building, westwards from Bramcote Lane, began almost immediately, and by the early 1960s about 5,000 people were living on the estate. (southwellchurches.nottingham.ac.uk). Freehold NT347212 was held by Trust Inns Limited (Reg. No. 3011034) as at November 2017.
