This Pub is Permanently Closed

The India Arms opened in 1780 and traded for over 200 years. As can be seen from the image, it was probably a Truman's tied house in its later days. Your correspondent was lucky enough to be present for its final session in 1978.

This fine building was later demolished and put to much better use - as a car park for cement manufacturers APCM.
