A former 17th century keep, later extended and further annexes built. Inchrie Castle probably became a hotel circa 1939 and later changed name to Covenanters Inn in 1949. The name reflects a modern Covenanters group who used to meet there to discuss Scottish self rule or independence. It was notably operated by Saga Hotels Group in the 1980s, but later reverted back to its original name after a change of ownership. It closed down circa February 2009 and is now presumably a private house.
