Built circa 1886 and operated as a temperance hotel, later taking the name Clachan probably in mid 1920s. It likely got a full licence sometime after the end of WW2. The change of name to Aberfoyle Inn is more recent. It still provides accommodation, a bar and a bistro (in the old shop) which is open daily until late. Opening hours may be reduced during the off season, so best to check ahead. No real ale.
