This Pub is Permanently Closed

A U-shaped bar serves this faded pub which has a predominantly Irish clientele. The pub survived in Benkins livery amidst a sea of Taylor Walker, yet the window front windows used to reveal it having been a Meux pub. The hero of Maida was Major General Sir John Stuart who defeated the French in the Battle of Maida, Italy, in 1806. This pub was built three years after his victory.

Closed c.1992 and converted to office use. It also now houses a skin clinic.
