Still known amongst many locals by its previous name of The Spinning Wheel. The Hen Dderwen (Old Oak Tree) is a large, single story, national chain pub and restaurant, located alongside a small shopping area in the centre of a busy housing estate. There is plenty of seating available in the spacious separate drinking and eating areas, with a long wooden faced bar serving both. Alas three shiny metal cask handpumps are located on the bar, but have not been used for sometime!

A notice board located on the car park entrance terrace, explains the history of the local area. A Quiz is held on Monday evenings.
