Now under local ownership, the Hart reopened in May 2018 after a six month period of closure during which it was tastefully refurbished. In addition to the pleasant bar area with an open fire, there are two smaller side rooms which serve as separate dining areas. An outside barn, used mainly as a pool room, is also available for functions, while there is also an attractive beer garden at the rear of the pub. The regular St Austell Tribute and Dartmoor Legend are usually joined by a guest beer from Bath Ales. Good value food is served both the bar and separate dining areas.
