Historic Interest
Delicensed on 12/04/10 but had no landlady from 28/09/09 prior to this it was Michelle Parkinson, owner Punch Taverns. In July 1979 it was mentioned in an article about Bowling Greens that it still had one. In August 1982 it was to become a Walkers pub selling Walkers Mild and Bitter (H). It was included on a Breightmet pub crawl on November 14th 1982. Another pub crawl started here on July 22nd 1984. The pub was included in the selective 1985 Greater Manchester Beer Guide. In the Winter of 1985/6 Walkers Winter Warmer was available. The pub was to be refurbished in September 1986 and again in February 1988, but it was August 1989 before it was noted as being completed. The Pub was included in the 1989 Beer in Bolton Guide as selling Walkers Mild and Best Bitter (H) . The Walkers Best Bitter was 96p a pint in February 1990. A Branch Meeting was held here on May 2nd 1991. The new landlord in May 1995 was Clive Nightingale who had come from the Howcroft.
