This Pub is Permanently Closed
Previously called the Hare & Hounds, this was first recorded as a beerhouse in 1871, with a Charles Faulkner being licensee in 1874. It had evolved into a proper pub by the 1890s, and was part of the Westerham Brewery estate, which itself became part of Ind Coope in 1961. The name changed to the Hare mid 2015. The pub, on the edge of the village, had wooden tables and comfy seating and was food orientated. The pub closed October 2015, reopening as an Italian restaurant which has also now closed.
