Originally known as The New Inn followed by the Grasshopper, the pub was purchased by Black Country Ales in July 2020. It’s a friendly and welcoming Black Country Ales pub located on the edge of town at a busy junction (hence the name). A central bar holds up to nine real ales including Black Country Ales alongside local and regional independents, as well as a choice of two real ciders. There is comfortable lounge seating throughout with a real fire, as well as TVs to show major events and international matches. Traditional snacks such as cobs, scotch eggs and sausage rolls are always available alongside a complimentary salad bar, and hot meat cobs are available on Sundays. A small artificial garden is outside adjacent to a compact car park. A playing field is opposite, and the pub is a short walk from the Avoncroft Museum of Buildings. The pub also offers Bed and Breakfast (call for enquiries) and is adjacent to the 145 bus stop, while the 144 bus is a seven minute walk away.
