Listed in John Stotts 1977 Guide to Good Beer in Bolton as selling Boddingtons Bitter and Mild (H), with Juke Box, darts, dominoes and snacks. Boddingtons Vulcan is further down the road (in Walkden). In May 1981 it was a Boddingtons pub known as the Halfway House and sold Mild and Bitter (H). It was listed in the Good Beer Guide from 1979 to 1981. It was listed in the selective Greater Manchester Beer Guide in 1980. In August 1986 the Mild was 64p and the Bitter 72p. Subsequently owned by Punch Taverns before being sold and it then became a Italian Restaurant with a Bar partly run by international referee Mark Halsey, but it still sold Boddingtons Bitter initially
