Smart free-house which re-opened in 2010 after radical extension and refurbishment following two years of closure. The main open plan bar, with pillars and a few 'cosy corners', is accessible from the front and from the rear car park. Part of the bar is usually set out for dining, although there is a separate 100-seater restaurant off the bar (and directly accessible from the car park). There is a fenced patio at the rear, plus a fenced lawn at the side. Extensive menu (mainly English), including vegetarian, available all day every day; restaurant carvery operates throughout except weekday afternoons. Live music from 9.30pm Friday & Saturday evenings.
