This Pub is Closed Long Term

A 300 year old pub, essentially open plan but with various distinct drinking areas. The pub has a warm and welcoming feel, where conversation is king and strangers are made welcome, it is particularly popular with walkers and cyclists. The pub walls are adorned with local newspaper cuttings and pictures

The large beer garden has views of Skiddaw and the pub supports the local mountain rescue team. Bring your own picnic !
