Locals Pub in the centre of the village. A central bar serves all the rooms. Note the stone pillars at the sides of the front door with a semi-circular fan light above. Also an interesting and unusual large window at the side of the Pub. The River Irwell runs directly behind the Pub and the Prestolee New Bridge (rebuilt 1994) crosses the river here. There is a large outdoor seating area complete with decking and tables/chairs accessed from the rear of the pub and a large grassed area a few steps below complete with children's playground (swings and slide) over looking the River.
