This Pub is Temporarily Closed
The Grapes is a Grade II listed building dating from the late C18 and early C19. It is believed to have held the local courtroom upstairs and still retains a room with original cell bars. It is in a prime position on the main street through the village opposite the ancient parish church and pack horse bridge over the River Yarrow. The layout has three rooms around a central bar and a separate restaurant to the rear. There is ample seating outside. Food from the extensive menu is served in the restaurant and throughout the pub Wednesday to Sunday. There is a function room on the first floor. In common with other pubs in Croston there is a boules pitch where the pub team plays in the Croston & District Boules League. No cask ale is currently served.
