Refurbished in early 2026, the Blue Anchor reopened on 10th April. The layout is open plan around a central bar with up to two changing cask ales available. Drinkers are welcome in Bretherton’s local buffet restaurant & bar and there is a large and attractive garden to the rear for the warmer months. Opening times may fluctuate during the first week as things settle down, so please ring, or check Facebook for details beforehand.
