This Pub is Permanently Closed

Formerly the Dog & Pheasant, it was sold by Whitbread in late 1999. It then became primarily a Chinese restaurant (Golden Pheasant), though it did retain a small (keg-only) public bar. In Spring 2004 it transformed into Saigon City serving Vietnamese food, still retaining the bar. The freehold went on the market in Spring 2009, was bought by developers two years later and it ceased trading at the end of 2011. Demolition took place in late 2012 with residential property subsequently replacing it.
