Located on a residential street off the main road, this large pub has an unlikely position that reflects the more historic nature of the area. The main focus is the large open-plan room that contains the bar. Up to three real-ales are available from the hand-pulls. The seating areas off the main room to either side of the bar provide a quieter, more intimate atmosphere. A large conservatory is easily accessed from the main room and leads to the extensive beer garden that can also be hired for private functions.
After being closed in December 2022, the pub re-opened under new management by a local family in April 2023. When visited on 8 Apr 2023, the kitchen was closed and awaiting refurbishment. It is hoped to re-open the kitchen soon. In the meantime, street food from third-party vendors may be available.
This Pub serves no changing beers and 3 regular beers.
