Originally Woodhead Farm, this converted and restored 400-year old building was used as a temperance hotel from the 1850's. There is one long room on three levels to the left of the entrance which contains the main bar. The raised area at the far end of the room is designated a dog-free area. To the right, a second, dog-free room is furnished for diners. Located on the edge of Baildon Moor and Shipley Glen, the pub is popular with visitors to the area and walkers are welcome. The pub can cater for functions of up to 60-65 people. A quiz takes place on Wednesdays from 8pm.
Under new management since Summer 2024. When visited in February 2025, there was no food available as a refurbishment of the kitchen was scheduled for March 2025. Once complete, it is intended to offer a full menu. In the meantime, food vans serving street food may be present. Closing times are subject to confirmation.
