A Sam Smith's pub with the trademark cheaper prices than the norm but only Sam Smith's drinks, keg and no cask ale in this one. Victorian-style with etched glass and dark wood panelling. The site dates back to the early 18th century. Various interesting small areas at rear provide some character and ambience. The basement bar area opens at 6pm. The emergency exit from it gives access to a smoking area but it is possible to become trapped outside!

Patrons should note that the brewery's policy is that its pubs are for social conversation person to person. This includes bans on swearing, mobile phones (except for payments), laptops or tablets; however, in the London area this policy may be relaxed or not enforced by staff.
