Prominent, town centre former Coaching Inn. Reopened in Feb 2019 after many years of closure after an extensive redevelopment. An outer room with a few tables leads to one large, comfortably furnished room that surrounds the bar on 3 sides. 6 handpumps are in use for real ale with beers from Otter brewery always likely to be featured. The pub focuses on food and offers an interesting menu including breakfast 10 a.m. to noon Monday to Saturday. One wall is decorated with a large collection of station-style clocks. 14 ensuite rooms are available.
