The Fruiterer’s Arms is a traditional pub that was run by the May family from 1848 to 2020. The public bar is popular with locals, whilst the lounge offers comfortable seating with a log burner for cold winter evenings. Beers are sourced locally and a real cider is available, all at a reasonable price. Snacks and filled rolls may be available at lunch-times, whilst home-made pickles and local produce can be purchased at the bar. Popular with both cyclists and ramblers alike, dogs are welcome in the public bar, and children until early evening.
In the same family since 1848. The bar on the right was changed in the late 60s, previously the counter was on the right hand side of the room and the front door was where the dart board now is. The snug on the far right is partially opened-up to the bar. The lounge on the left was added in 1973. Not enough for inclusion.
