Looking far more like an independent coffee shop than a traditional pub this bistro blends well Northumbrian, Mediterranean, and British food with cask beer in comfortable surroundings. Note the unusual male/female African masks on the toilet doors. Sun trap outside drinking/smoking area at rear. Popular with lunchtime shoppers, tourists and the Maltings Arts Centre clientele.
