Having been through various iterations of pub management over the years (Punch, Antic and latterly Portobello Brewery until Apr 2025), the venue reopened as a daytime cafe-bar in early Oct 2025, with a focus on breakfast and lunch-time meals. The drinks menu includes bottled beer & cider plus wine and spirits. The premises are long and narrow with a large rear, paved patio garden. Toilets (except the disabled one) are downstairs.

Historic Interest

Legend has it that Queen Victoria once stopped here to drink a glass of water.
