Built in 1841 as the Queens Railway Tavern with and arched carriage entrance (to a mews) at one side. As the Fettler & Firkin it was part of the Firkin chain until reopening in its current guise in 2004. Inside, the larger front area is in the modern mode of exposed wood flooring. There is a roll-up TV screen for sport. The smaller rear bar has settee seating.
Sold by Spirit to a private purchaser, this time for £1.9 million in 2007 and converted to flats.
