Atmospheric, tastefully decorated former equine resting place, the previous name was 'Waggon & Horses', just over 5 minutes walk from Lymington Pier station and close to the river. A good sized bar area leads to a larger restaurant section. Good food prepared from local produce and friendly, efficient staff make this pub worth a visit. The outside patio is pleasant during sunny days and in the evenings the last train to Brockenhurst leaves around 22:30.
Historic Interest
Former thatched pub, rebuilt in 1908. Used in the 18th century and maybe before as the assembling point for donkeys and carts before boarding the ferry to town. Upstream, a causeway dam was built in 1731 and this became a toll bridge and the ferry trade diminished.
This Pub serves no changing beers and 2 regular beers.
