This Pub is Closed Long Term

This 16th century pub has a large garden, with the bar featuring many elephantine artefacts, including a mural, figures and elephant spelt in many different languages. Food is served both at lunchtime and in the evening. The Otter Bright may alternate with a beer from Butcombe, Hanlons or Teignworthy. Accommodation is in the new extension, which fits perfectly within the grounds of the pub. The bus service is very limited (Fri only).

The premises is was only operating as a B & B from early in 2024. The owner recently passed away (early summer 2025) and now the venue was bought by an estate agent. Not likely to be a pub from now on.
