This Pub is Permanently Closed
This outlet started life in the 1850s as the Railway Tavern, then the RB Buffet from 1894 (named after the licensee Robert Borland). it continued into the 1980s. Then it was named the Barrelhouse, 1066 Lounge, Drookit Duck and finally the Edge in 2002. The Edge was put up for sale in 2012 and presumably closed about that time. After that the building has been a coffee house, first Barista's Bar, now Central Perk.
