Popular roadside pub with a loyal village clientele and welcoming atmosphere enhanced by two real fires in winter months. An extension, built in 2017, has extended the eating area and added new 'indoor' toilets, both with disabled facilities. A fourth pump generally alternates between Cotleigh and Andwells ales. Good value, home-cooked food is served with a traditional roast on Sunday lunchtimes (not Sunday eve). There is a small, pleasant garden on the steep hill behind the pub with a fabulous view across the river Bourne and the countryside beyond and a covered smoking area for those needing it. Occasional live music. Salisbury CAMRA Country Pub of the Year 2014 and 2016.
