Some may recall this pub as Hewitt’s Tavern, when reopened following a makeover and renamed to commemorate the former Hewitt’s brewery which was sited across the street. Now having regained its old name, there are still many photos related to Hewitt’s pubs in the area. Like so many, the makeover involved removal of the wall separating lounge and bar, although the two entities still exist. An annex on the car park side may be used although some might find it a little remote from the “action”. This is the only room which permits children and has various play items. A pool area is adjacent to the bar. Reopened in August 2024, the once car park has become a beer garden. Now serves real ale and is cask marque accredited.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 0 regular beers.
