Historic Interest

In May 1981 this was a Whitbread Keg pub. By April 1988 Cask Trophy Bitter was available. The pub was listed in the Stop Press of the 1989 Beer in Bolton Guide as selling Trophy Bitter (H). In the 1992 Great North Western Beer Festival programme 1992 it was noted as just having been bought by Vaux who had already installed their Samson bitter, but closure came soon afterwards in 1994.
