Historic Interest
A former Birkenhead Brewery pub with only a beer license dating possibly from at least 1850. Closed in 1910, became the Post Office and in the early 2000s a betting shop. The property had been left empty for many years but as recently as 2015 (see photos) the Dog & Gun can be seen written on the wall on one side of the pub and still just visible at the front of the building. In 2017 converted into residential flats but still clearly identifiable as a pub.
