Close to the river and main shopping area and next to Morrisons car park, on the far side of which is the last remnant of Bakers Brewery, note the grain hoist on the east side. Subject to flood damage many times and as recently as 2021,it has featured regularly in the Good Beer Guide. The outside drinking area at the front is a sun trap in warmer weather. Music most weekends and the pub hosts an Annual charity music day which attracts a large crowd. Up to five Cask Ales plus 15 mostly CAMRA approved ciders usually on offer. Popular locals pub well worth seeking out if in the area.
