Founded in 1981 by two members of the Homebrewers' Society, Woodforde's is named after Parson Woodforde, the 18th century Norfolk diarist with a penchant for real ale. In 1989 the brewery moved to its current home at Woodbastwick. It has its own boreholes and brews using locally-grown Maris Otter. Further investment has increased the capacity and the brewery tap (Fur & Feather) is located next door to the brewery, along with the Lord Nelson at Burnham Thorpe.

CAMRA tasting notes
A malty, sweet tasting tawny ale with a satisfyingly sticky mouthfeel. Initially the malt matches the heavy fruity aura. Long finish.
