This Pub is Permanently Closed

This was a lively village local with lots of activity, and parts of the building were over 400 years old. This former Friary Meux pub was sold to Greene King in 1990. The emphasis was on sport and music but there were also regular quizzes as well as thriving darts and pool teams. The pub closed late autumn 2009 and the building is now used as a veterinary surgery.
