Once a basic Victorian local, but substantially refurbished and extended in the 1980s to provide a well-appointed community pub. The centre of activity and pub games is the large public bar, off which there is a family/pool room, served through a hatch. There is also a very smart lounge. An enclosed patio and beer garden, with a children's play area, is at the rear. Food limited to filled cobs at weekends. Free pool Tuesday evening; board games Friday evening; live music Saturday evening; quiz night Sunday.
