This Pub is Closed Long Term

Dating from the sixteenth century, this on-time coaching inn has recently been refurbished and reopened. The main area consists of a comfortable bar, open to a large dining room. The decor is a mix of bare stone and white walls offsetting darker timbers above. To the rear is the small 'map room' adorned with old maps, and at a lower level a large Tudor timbered bar. Breakfast and coffee is available in the morning and the bar opens from 11am daily. Food is Indian plus limited English dishes, operated by a franchise trading as Whitchurch Spice Tandoori Indian Restaurant And Takeaway.
