Situated on the original turnpike between Guisborough and Middlesbrough, on the northern edge of the North Yorks Moors, the bar of this 19th C coaching inn is now under the stewardship of an enthusiastic cellarman / barman / front of house.
Three, (two in winter), premium beers are served, with, at the time of writting, Hambleton Thoroughbred and Rudgate Mild on offer. While GK Spring Break, a golden hoppy beer, is awaiting in the wings, and brewed as part of the National Apprenticeship Brewing Programme.
