This Pub is Permanently Closed
Before demolition, this was an ex-Hammonds house located alongside Rooley Lane (A6177) close to the Wakefield Road roundabout. It comprised a large open plan L-shaped room with the bar to one side. The pub advertised it sold cask ale and there were three hand-pumps on the bar. However, during a visit in December 2013, none of these were in use.
WHEN VISITED ON 13 JUNE 2021, THE PUB HAD BEEN CLOSED FOR A LONG TIME AND ITS WINDOWS WERE BOARDED UP.
IN OCT 2021, CITY OF BRADFORD MDC PASSED A PLANNING APPLICATION TO ALLOW THE PUB TO BE DEMOLISHED TO ALLOW CONSTRUCITON OF A DRIVE-THROUGH GREGGS BAKERY SHOP.
ON 9 NOV 2021, THE PUB WAS SEEN TO HAVE BEEN DEMOLISHED.
21/03170/FUL | Demolition of existing building, construction of drive-thru retail / bakery unit (Class E) with access alteration. Approved 21 Sep 2021.
