This Pub is Permanently Closed

The Cricketers was a modern mock-rustic pub located on the junction of Star Lane and Shawfield Road. In the later years of existence, it was renamed the Phoenix in Ash and pumped out loud music. A planning application to demolished the pub and replace it with a two storey block of 12 two bedroom flats was approved in 1994.
