This Pub is Closed Long Term
A picturesque former farmhouse lying in the shadow of the imposing Abernethy Tower, one of only two Celtic watch-towers in Scotland. The timber panels and beams give character to the bar area. Ales available; Alechemy, Deuchars IPA or Timothy Taylor Landlord. A good selection of meals is available lunchtimes and evenings made with fresh local produce. Separate dining/meeting room. Reopened in April 2018 as a locally run free house.
Closed again as a pub and restaurant in 2023, but may have supported other pop-up activities on the premises, as well as accommodation. Currently believed to be up for sale.
Historic Interest
Dating from 1843. C Listed former farmhouse. Operated as public house by Thomas Cree from 1858 till 1911.
