Run by Beerhouses, the County is refurbished in a contemporary style with an Art Deco twist, but retaining the original bar and coving partitions. Magnet windows and a John Smiths exterior lamp are retained as a cheeky nod to previous ownership. Six handpumps dispense beers sourced from Yorkshire, mainly from micros, and there are four craft keg lines. There is a rear function room, and the pub is very handy for a drink after an event in Huddersfield Town Hall. On Sundays, snacks only are available but occasional food events also take place. Huddersfield CAMRA Pub of the Year 2024. On Fri & Sat the pub is open until 11pm but only if there is an event at the Town Hall.
