This pleasant, friendly, and welcoming pub, refurbished in 2010, retains an old-world feel. It is situated in the centre of town with a good bus route and nearby on-street parking. A fine restaurant serves good food including a Sunday lunchtime carvery (booking recommended). There is a large beer garden with space for children and a covered smoking area.
