Opened in May 2018 by two beer enthusiasts who wanted to create "the type of pub that we would like to drink in". There is one main room, but a semi dividing wall effectively produces two separate drinking areas with tables, chairs and stools which enhance a friendly intimate drinking atmosphere.
Formerly a printers, jewellers and a butchers premises, clues to the reason for the name of the pub are to be found with photographs on the walls of coracle makers and operators from bygone years on the adjacent river Severn.
It offers five cask ales from independent breweries, seven beers on tap plus a real cider. See Facebook for the latest chalk board.
A well stocked fridge containing 70 - 80 bottled and canned beers from far and wide. There is also a stock of special bottled beers in the cellar.
As with many micro-pubs, bar snacks, pies and scratchings are available but you are welcome to bring your own food.
The small chimney breast at the rear of the pub holds a selection of board games and books to help while away the time if desired. A quiet pub where good conversation is enjoyed between locals and visitors alike.
