This Pub is Permanently Closed

This single bar mid-terraced pub offers good views across the Sound to Mount Batten and offers a haven from the hustle and bustle of the nearby Barbican. The interior has a strong naval theme, with drawings, paintings and over 100 ship's crests adorn the walls. The pub is only open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. The pub had been offered for sale for several years with the impending retirement of the licensees. Sadly, none came to fruition and the pub closed on Saturday 11th January 2014. It has now been converted into housing.

A planning application ref no 12/00630/FUL, dated Fri 13 Apr 2012, proposed Change of use of ground floor from public house to living accommodation for existing dwelling above, was granted conditionally on 12/06/2012.
