A timber framed building with brick noggin and thatched roof. The older part is medieval and the fewer wing was added in the 17th century. A restaurant offers a varied menu which is focused on local ingredients. The bar on the other side has comfy seating and a log fire. Fourreal ales are offered.
The pub has recently remodelled its back garden complete with the erection a barn that is licensed to be used for functions and other purposes.
